We will be up in July next year, my son (16) and I. From what I can find it looks like black bear doesn’t have a closed season in unit seven. He’s an avid Hunter and fisher and this would be the best day of his life if he got one. is it worth trying in July? From some research online, it looks like if you get a boat, you might be better off to look at coastlines. Tell me what are his chances realistically for a couple days in mid July and if they’re decent, do you have a specific outfitter you’d recommend near Seward?
