Given the new moderation, my post will probably not be approved. But I'll write a few things anyway.

I have expressed my disappointments on this sub before. But, apart from the unethical reporting of an artist, things were going alright, people were disagreeing, the sub was getting traction. Now we have a new mod, and they certainly let the power get to their head. Hasn't even been a day and they are banning people left, right and center. Funny how that works.

Genius move to take over this sub through r/redditrequest. Funny how you only mentioned your concern about AI art in your request there. You call yourself an artist?

You were also very prompt to hide a comment that said you are only 20, makes me think the commenter may not have been too far off.

You are pretending at democracy by starting a poll, tell me where did this post go, even before the poll is closed?

This sub used to be an open place to talk about Art and philosophy, but some people know p*rn when they see it (makes you wonder how familiar they must be), and now one of them is the Big Brother here, and they are bringing their friends as supporting MODs.

Good luck, people. It was nice knowing some of you.

If you do not like what somebody is posting, here are some options:

1. Keep NSFW toggle on. It’s called NSFW for a reason.

2. Block the user from your feed. Don’t like someone’s content, don’t look at them.

What is not an option: bullying the artist, sending them mental health links, calling them names, sending threats, hate messages etc etc.

You may make whatever judgement you want about someone, but remember, it says more about you than them.

I wouldn’t have written so much to support this artist, but you guys appall me. The kind of entitlement it shows, it boggles my mind. You don’t like it, so someone should stop drawing what they want? They should paint landscapes to please you? maybe some deities?

Someone is pleading for mods to rescue them. Have you read the sub rules? What rule is this artist breaking exactly?

I don’t like it, so this should not exist— This is the baseline thinking of oppressors. Sit with this for a minute if your tiny brains can process it.
