Biology major computer recommendations

Hello! So I'm an incoming freshman who's starting to look for a computer, and I wanted honest advice on a computer I should get. Here's a list of things I'm looking for:

  • Touchscreen
  • Long lasting battery (I don't mind carrying a charger around, but I prefer not having to rely on charging it 24/7)
  • Maybe Foldable
  • A ton of storage
  • Light (easy to carry around)
  • Medium sized

I'm not 100% sure on what computer brand I want. My only thing is that I only have experience using Samsung/ android devices because I personally don't like Apple phones (but thats just the phones, other devices could be different). And I have used HP laptops before.

But I am willing to buy an Ipad or Macbook if its worth it. I've heard good things about the MacBook Neo, however, because it is new, I'm not sure how reliable it is.

My budget is $1000 or less.

If you also have recommendations for anything else that revolves the biology major at UCR please let me know!

UCSD waitlist first year status update.

Just got an email for a status update and basically I didnt get in because they reached full capacity. Shocker. I'm not mad or anything I just kinda knew already because of how long it was taking and I lowkey gave up.

By the way I applied as a human biology major with an alternative in general biology and my third option was psychology.

So my guess is that those 3 majors are filled up. Goodluck everyone. I'll be heading to UCR in the fall ✌️.

P.S. If you guys want to know my stats I'll share a general basis of them.
