Peaceful Morning on the Mara Plains

Peaceful Morning on the Mara Plains

Quiet moments in the wild are sometimes the most beautiful. Zebras grazing peacefully while an elephant watches over the plains in the distance — this is the side of safari that stays with you long after the game drive ends. 🌿🦓🐘

Captured during another unforgettable day with Beyond The Plains Kenya Safaris in the African wilderness.

The teamwork behind a lion hunt is incredible to watch

One thing that always surprises people on safari is how calculated lionesses are during a hunt. Watching them move through the grass, quietly repositioning, communicating through body language, and slowly closing distance on prey feels almost unreal when you see it happen in person.
This clip captured some of those moments out in the Maasai Mara
the patience, the focus, the coordination, and the sudden bursts of movement that make lion hunts so intense to witness.
Nature in the wild is beautiful, unpredictable, and completely raw all at once

Cheetah moments in the Mara

One of those calm but unforgettable sightings in the Maasai Mara. We came across this beautiful cheetah resting quietly in the grasslands while the plains stretched endlessly behind her.

Moments like this are why we love safari life — no rush, no crowds, just nature doing its thing. Watching a cheetah fully relaxed in its environment is something special, especially knowing how alert and fast they usually are.

At Beyond The Plains Kenya Safaris, these are the experiences we enjoy sharing with travelers visiting Kenya and East Africa. Sometimes the best safari memories come from the quiet moments, not just the dramatic hunts.

Have you ever seen a cheetah this close in the wild? 🐆🌍

Buffalos safari

One thing safari photos never fully capture is just how massive and intimidating buffalo are when you’re close to them. Calm one second, unpredictable the next.

A few unforgettable moments from the African wilderness

From watching a herd of elephants move silently across the plains, to catching giraffes standing perfectly against the horizon, to seeing the raw side of nature with vultures feeding and a lone fox wandering through the grasslands ,every drive felt completely different from the last.

That’s honestly one of the things I love most about safari experiences. You never fully know what the next hour will look like.

These were captured during trips organized through Beyond the Plains Safaris across East Africa. Definitely reminded me why no two safaris are ever the same.
