Ca. Sick leave time

If I have sick leave time (60 + hours remaining) can I use it without penalty? I was not feeling well this morning and felt i couldn't emotionally or mentally handle behaviors. I've had about 12 absences since i started late september of this year which I know is a lot but I accrued the sick time when I worked at the after school program years ago. I feel like I earned it, because I did, but I cant make out from the bargaining agreement if I am risking losing my job by taking it.

Pay through the summer if I get a new position?

Hi all, So im going to go to an interview for a para position at a school district closer to me because I don't want to have to worry about losing my current para job if my car breaks down. My question is, I was told that I will be paid through the summer if I finish out the school year. If I finish the school year (May 29th) and submit a letter of resignation after, will I still get paid through the summer? Obviously I don't want to ask payroll because I dont want them to know that im planning on quitting if I get hired.

Finkelstein calling trans pronouns "woke" and saying "patriarchy isnt a concept"?

I understand recognizing generational limitations, but when someone presents themselves as being open to changing their minds when presented with facts they should be challenged when they show a refusal to do so. Saying "patriarchy isnt a concept" is so removed from reality. Is he saying its natural and not imposed? Its so odd and really bothers me. Also, he does present himself as a militant socialist who cares about the working class sincerely but he doesnt admit the existence of patriarchy and the oppressiveness of gender roles?

He has an iintellectual disability and autism but they should at least be giving it their best shot i feel? Hes 4 years old. When I asked the teacher why hes not in speech she said she didnt know and she'll bring it up at his next i.e.p., which i think is next year? Also, I dont think she will, if anything, she'd forget I ever mentioned it. Why not advocate for it ASAP? I feel crucial time is slipping away.
