cruise insurance

I am looking at insurance for my cruise coming up in November on Holland America.

sts are looking pretty much the same as the cruise line's cost. Is this typical? I read that cruise line charge more for insurance and to go with a 3rd party. They don't look that much less expensive.

Am I looking in the wrong place or searching wrong? Thank you

Questions about itinerary on HAL

Greetings,

We have an offer of a May 7 day out of Seattle on the Noordam in May '27.

This is offered as a  "Holland America Personal Cruise Consultant" an Alaskan cruise on the Noordam. Not a lot of stops based on map of voyage. It travels through Endicott Arm/Dawes Glacier.

Include special pricing, meet and greet, dinner, cruise consultant excursion and behind the scenes bridge tour.

Does anyone have experience booking thru this way? Thank you,

Holland America Alaska

I am looking for a trip this September for a surprise for my husband. We are first cruisers in our 50's- 60's. Does this cruise line have certain ships recommended or not for this September 2026? Last minute, but I would love to surprise him with a great time.
