When are we going to admit that these celebrity prophets are just running a tax-free corporate business?
Let’s call it what it is: a diabolical corporate hustle disguised as spirituality. These celebrity prophets have mastered the ultimate tax-free business model.
They monetize hope and weaponize desperation in an economy where normal families are struggling to buy basic groceries. Thousands of people line up every week to hand over their last few USD as "seed money" for miracles, while these leaders live like CEOs. If they actually cared about the people, why aren't church funds building clinics or digging boreholes in high-density suburbs?
Instead, the revenue goes straight to foreign luxury SUVs, mega-mansions, and designer suits while the congregation goes home to darkness because of ZESA. The most toxic part is the psychological manipulation if you remain poor, they tell you it’s because your "seed" wasn't big enough.
We have completely substituted financial literacy and hard work for the delusion of miracle money. Are we so blinded by fear that we can't see we are just customers to these millionaires?
The fake "soft life" culture on Zimbabwean Instagram is ruining our generation.
Every time I open social media, it’s local youths flexing lifestyle habits they clearly cannot afford on a Zimbabwean salary. Eating out at high-end spots every weekend, posting champagne bottles, and acting like inflation isn't real.We all know the economic reality of this country. Who are we trying to fool? This pressure to look rich is driving people into shady deals or massive debt just to maintain an aesthetic for people who don't care about them. It’s pathetic.
Tech is the only way out. Starting Blender today so I can stop relying on local jobs.
I dont know if most people know BLENDR but...
Let’s be honest, local corporate jobs are a dead end. I’m starting to learn Blender today because digital skills are the only way to earn USD from international clients while living here.I see people wasting time on degrees that don't pay. I'm giving myself 6 months to master 3D modeling from scratch.
Today marks Day 1 of my Blender journey. I am starting completely from scratch with the famous donut tutorial. My long-term goal is to create 3D animations that show a futuristic, sci-fi version of Zimbabwe.
I know it's a massive learning curve, but I want to document the whole thing here to stay accountable. Here is to day one! If you are a local digital artist, please drop your handles below so I can see what is possible.
Tag Along.
