Hey guys I’d like to know if it’s just my orthodontists assistants who aren’t experienced, or it’s just a normal Invisalign thing. Are you guys dealing with a bunch of extra glue on your teeth every time they put and remove attachments???

I don’t understand it, I’m on round 3 of trays and somehow they always get glue all over the front of my teeth that they have to polish after and somehow also get glue on the back of the teeth too.

It’s really annoying because they tell me they can’t see it, but I tell them I feel it and where. Then they try to remove it.

I’ve still got some extra glue on my teeth that I keep finding months later, that I have to tell them to polish at the next appointment.

It feels pretty unprofessional.

I’m leaning on inexperienced assistants, but what’re your experiences?

How long into the process were you absolutely tired of the whole thing

For me it was at the one year point. Would’ve actually just said I don’t want to finish the treatment if I hadn’t paid all that money

Invisalign fatigue

I’m about a year and half through the treatment and honestly,

I’m soooo fucking tired of things.

It’s like a second job. It’s never set it and forget.

It’s like, how do I plan my whole life and everything I do around these things.

And it gets exhausting.

How do you guys motivate yourself to keep going?

Does anyone have any experience switching from Invisalign to braces?

Im about a year and a half in, and I’m really at the point where I don’t want to wear these things any longer.

I need to eat when I want. lol.

Does it cost extra to switch?

Has anyone done it?

Thanks in advance!

I just got another round of Invisalign trays after a tooth wasn’t tracking. Went in, they removed some attachments and added some. There was a bunch of glue so I told them, and they said they’d remove it.
They got some, but I told them I could still feel some on my bottom teeth. So they kept trying. Kind of rushing me, telling me they couldn’t see it. But I could still feel it.

So I told them it’s fine. Mind you it’s a lot of glue I feel. I told them maybe it’ll wash off with brushing my teeth. They do ipr and I go book my next appointment.

Well I get in my car and see a significant amount of my tooth polished off!

I’ll include before and after photos (mind you the after are flipped)

I got new tray and put them on and saw a huge gap of where the rest of my tooth was.

If anything, there should only be a tiny gap.

So what do you think? Did my ortho accidentally shave off my teeth??

I’ve had an experience with him being heavy handed and bleeding from ipr.

I’m literally pretty upset this.

Should I just trust the process?

What do yall think?

Any advice is appreciated

What should I do?

TLDR - Ortho either chipped or shaved down teeth while trying to take the extra glue off teeth from attachments.
