feminist novels for my personal statement

i am applying for english literarure for uni, and i'm currently writing my personal statement. i want to discuss my love for feminist literature / literature exploring female identity, so far I have these books to mention / talk about in depth;

- The Tenant of Wildfell Hall (read for my NEA) (1800s)

- A Doll's House (read for my NEA) (1800s)

- The Virgin Suicides (1990s)

- The Vegetarian (contemporary)

- Breasts And Eggs (contemporary)

I feel like I'm missing a text chronologically, does anyone have any recommmendations for a (short preferrably) book I could read to fill in the gap? maybe from the early 1900s, i want something I've read outside school to be more classical because so far it's all pretty modern.

personal statement for english degree

i'm aiming to apply for english at trinity, but my personal statement feels lacking and i'm really anxious about it. how many books or authors should i name on my statement? i want to look widely read but i also want to talk about what i gained from my reading, and i haven't had any support from school in what to say. i'd really appreciate any help because i know i'm running a bit behind in how prepared i should be.

degrees and careers for someone who loves reading, writing, film, and learning about politics and society

i'm 17 nearly 18 and i'm really struggling to land on a degree to do at university. i love to read but am struggling with classic literature so i'm not entirely sure if english lit is the best choice for me, i tend to enjoy contemporary stuff more and am getting into non fiction as well. my passions in life are for sure literature, writing, and film (i've never made one though) and i'm also really interested in politics and social stuff like feminism and class disparity. i've always wanted a creative career eg author and while i still plan on trying to make this happen for me I also know i need to figure out a more realistic option. what degrees could i look into, other than english lit because that's what i'm mainly considering right now, that involve my interests but are also employable and have good job prospects?

is a creative degree worth it?

i know i want to study english literature at uni. but i was looking at the courses at unis and ones that kept catching my eye were literature and film, and literature and creative writing. i know that careers in creative fields are very competitive and unrealistic, but i genuniely have such a strong itch to try. i'm not sure which is a better path for me, just the literarure degree or pairing the subject with something creative. is it worth it? idk i know applications are so soon i need to make up my mind lmao but i'm really struggling and don't want to have any regrets when i'm older. any advice?
