Title: Stuck as a Finance Manager with no accounting work — CMA, CIMA, CPA, or ACCA? Need help choosing.

Hey everyone,

5 years in finance and accounting, currently a Finance Manager, and honestly — I’m lost.

Joined my current company 10 months ago and the role has zero accounting involvement. My team even got moved to partner relations. I feel completely disconnected from the work I actually like doing.

I want to pursue a certification to get back on track and open better doors, but I’m overwhelmed. I’m looking at CMA, CIMA, CPA, and ACCA — and I genuinely don’t know where to start.

Here’s the honest truth about me:

•	BBA (2012), M.Com (2018) — haven’t opened a book since
•	Full-time job, 5-year-old at home
•	Not a naturally strong student
•	Feeling rusty and a little scared

I’m not looking for the hardest or the most prestigious. I’m looking for something realistic, recognized, and actually worth it for someone in my position.

Has anyone been here? What would you do?

Much tighter and more human. Want any further tweaks?
