My Pd has been cleared up for a couple months now. I have been able to wash and moisturize with gentle products as well as use hypopochlorus acid spray without it coming back. Ive also had success with la roche pose tinted sunscreen so far although not using it everyday.
Ive been wearing a hat a lot of days in the sun but now my body is tanning and my face is not. 😫 Has anyone used like a self tan for faces that was gentle enough not to cause flares?
Chemical sunscreen always broke me out but i just dealt with it if i was going to be in the sun long. Now that i have PD i obviously will have to use a mineral sunscreen. Im thinking the haruharu one. I haven’t been using anything at all on my face really apart from hypochlorous acid spray. Im scared to even add the sunscreen but its getting hot out and im going to have to try something. Idk how to remove it without triggering the PD as i know mineral ones are pretty thick.
I basically gave myself PD with either trying too many new face products at once or starting tret or a combination of both, back in Feb. I got a prescription for elidel which helped a lot but seemed to stall the process and then seemed to be getting worse again. I went on doxy for 2 months. My derm said to continue the doxy for 2 weeks after my skin seems fully cleared up.
I stopped the doxy about a week ago. Once in a while while on the doxy i would get tingling and itching feeling beside my mouth but skin still looked clear. After ive stopped the doxy i have noticed the tingling itching sensation is now daily but my skin still looks perfectly healed.
Im so scared that this means its coming back. Has this happened to anyone? Or is there anything i should do to incase it is a flare coming back? Ive basically just been using water on my face minus a haruharu wonder black rice gentile cleanser in the evenings but the last few days i even stopped that to see if it would make a difference.
