Age of Innocence (book) / Gilded Age (show) similarities
All the searches I have done insist that HBO’s The Gilded Age is not based on Edith Wharton’s The Age of Innocence, and yet I can’t help but seeing so many of the character archetypes in her novel reproduced in the show. Does anyone else see the similarities, or am I searching too hard?
