Anyone else have experience with Physics II labs being graded insanely harshly?

Me and my groupmates are getting grades like 68s and 69s on reports even with all sections completed and clear understanding of the labs.

Our professor even said “just because it’s not on the rubric doesn’t mean I can’t take points off it,” which makes the grading feel super subjective.

At this point, several of us have higher grades in the actual Physics II lecture than the 1-credit lab. We already tried talking to the professor and are considering emailing the Dean of Students.

Is this normal?
