Any news on whether Steve Jordan will play with John Mayer’s full band at the Sphere?
Hi everyone!
I’m a big fan of both John Mayer and Steve Jordan, and I’m hoping to make the trip from the UK to Las Vegas to catch one of John’s upcoming Sphere shows.
I’m particularly keen to see Steve playing with John’s full band, as I’ve never had the chance to see that lineup live. I understand there will also be a John Mayer Trio section, but I’m wondering whether Steve is expected to play during the full-band portion of the show as well.
From what I understand, it’s been confirmed that Sean Hurley won’t be part of the lineup, and Pino Palladino will more than likely be handling the bass duties for the full-band section, as he has on John’s more recent tours. However, I haven’t been able to find any clear information about Steve’s involvement beyond the Trio set.
Has anyone heard anything about whether Steve will be playing with the full band too, or whether this has already been decided behind the scenes?
Travelling from the UK and buying tickets is a pretty significant expense, so knowing whether there’s a chance to see Steve with the full band would really help me decide whether to make the trip.
I appreciate that the full lineup may not have been officially announced yet, but I’d be really grateful for any information, rumours, or insight from anyone who might know more!
Thanks so much!
