The "big bang" only makes sense to me if we're living in a simulation

The whole idea of the big bang is really based more in religion than science. Sure science is how we found out about the big bang but it still doesn't explain how we got something from nothing. You just need to have faith that that's what happened. And don't get me started on the idea of nothing because I just picture blackness when I picture nothing but blackness is something so can a human even comprehend nothing to begin with.

All that being said, the only explanation that makes sense to me is that the big bang was actually the simulation "booting up".

What does everyone think of that concept?

Is a placebo proof that we're living in a simulation?

I don't know what I believe exactly, maybe I got too "awesome" I don't know but it seems to me that the laws of physics should not allow a placebo to work yet somehow our mind will actually make chemical changes that can be measured as long as it believes it's taking the medication. It actually makes sense to me if we're in a simulation because none of it is real anyway so maybe it's like you trick the simulation as well as yourself. Kind of like the double slit experiment, maybe the act of you believing your taking the proper medication can cause that reality to collapse or not collapse on itself.

I don't know if I worded that right but if you speak stupid smart guy you might get it
