Has anyone dealt with ongoing nerve/muscle symptoms from back issues that move around and flare up depending on position?
For the last few months I’ve had weird symptoms mostly in my right leg. It started as calf tightness/cramping feelings and now I get twitching/rolling sensations in my calf, foot, and sometimes hamstring. Certain positions make it worse, especially sitting with my knees bent or stretching the leg a certain way.
I also have lower back problems and was told before I have lumbar radiculopathy/spinal stenosis, so I’m starting to think this is more connected to my back/nerve irritation than anything else. BUT i was originally diagnosed 2 years ago this is new issues in my leg. Straight leg raises can shoot sensations down the leg and sometimes it feels like the muscles are constantly on the verge of cramping.
The newest thing is some swelling or fullness above the inside of my knee. No redness or major heat, just feels inflamed and irritated.
I’m still active, still walking, golfing, doing PT stuff, etc. so I’m not really looking for worst case scenario answers. More wondering if anyone else has had nerve irritation or back issues cause:
- twitching
- cramp feelings
- calf tightness
- foot sensations
- knee irritation/swelling
- muscles feeling overworked constantly
Did PT, stretching, posture work, injections, rest, etc. help any of you? Starting to feel like my nervous system and muscles are just permanently irritated at this point.
