A few months ago, I had a dream about a strange creature and did some searching and discovered that there is a mythological creature that's similar.

Last night, I had a similar dream about another creature but can't seem to find anything online that matches.

The dream was that I was in Ireland and there was a giant manatee-like creature (huge, taller than a house) and it seemed scary at first, but we managed to calm it and it kind of shrank down and became more of a dog-like creature. I remember hearing someone say "elephant seal" when we were talking about it in the dream, and its face wasn't exactly a manatee, but somewhat similar.

Anyway, just wondering if there's something like that in Irish folklore that you know of!
