Hello, first time poster, apologies if any mistakes.

I am stuck in a situation for which I don’t have any ideas. This is my first time leasing a vehicle.

My lease on Mazda CX5 is coming to an end next week (July 11th). I have booked a RAV 4 which will not arrive before that.

Options I am considering:

buyout the vehicle. But I was told to get a Safety check done and they gave me a big list of fixes before providing me the certificate.
Return the vehicle as is (with some fixes) and wait for the new one. If i return, I don’t have a vehicle to drive to work. Would renting a car work? (I did the math and it’s costly)

Can someone please provide me with suggestions or ideas on how to come out of this?
