Question about communication delay time with the Nixon Apollo call

When Nixon called the moon there were sometimes upwards of 7 seconds in delay.  One of my colleagues thinks that is a technical delay, while I believe that it is a combination of technical and then human delay.

From what I've always been told, the technical delay would be around 3 seconds.  ~2.5 for the radio wave to propagate there and back and then ~5 seconds for the transmission between Nixon/Houston/Australia.  Meaning the rest of the delay is just the human part of hearing the message, understanding it, thinking of response, etc.

Does anyone have some insight on this and some citation?

I have a unit where the original flooring was not maintained at all. It's got a lot of deep scratches and gouges. Gaps between pieces as the ends were chipped off. I want to install vinyl plank and luan will definitely not go down well. I was thinking 7/16th osb should be enough. Is there any reason not to do this?

Hi all, I am renovating a bathroom where the tub is being put on an outside wall that originally had a window. I had originally planned on using a glue up surround and cutting it around the window then trimming it, but I ended up having to shift the tub the opposite direction I had originally planned and the window was just too close to the corner for that to be an option. I debated tiling, but finally just said F it and took the window out. I could still go with a glue up, I know that is an option and I have a glue up in one of my bathrooms and it's been fine but a lot of people hate them and I was wondering if there are any options I'm missing besides glue up, tile, or direct to stud? I'm not unwilling to cut the drywall out that we put up for direct to stud but I have not been able to find a 54 inch surround that at any of the big box stores so if that will be your recommendation I'll need to know where to get something to work. I got the bootz kona 54 inch porcelain enameled steel tub from Home Depot, but they don't have a 54 inch surround.
