Need help with evaluating my SOP and personal statement for Cornell MEM!!!
Hi everyone, this is my first ever reddit post (pls dont be brutal i'm still exploring how things work here)
I am very well aware of the situation in the US for master's students but i still decided to apply for Fall'27 because i find my backend engineering role very demanding and i feel i dont really have a purpose here. I aim to pivot into product from tech. I tried applying and reaching out HR of companies that had associate product roles open that were okay with 0-2 years of experience (i currently have 1yoe). I had not received any confirmation from anyone and so i started exploring options for masters in the US (i have some knowledge around this because i was planning to do my masters aborad right out of college but dropped the plan because of the market situation)
I research a couple of universities in the US and i felt cornell was the best fit for me and i only plan on applying to cornell this year (I know its extremely competetive but i still want to give it a shot). I started drafting my SOP and personal statement that their MEM course requires. I reached out to a couple of corell mem alumini and had them review it for me i worked on thrie suggestions and i just was a final review of my SOP and review for my first draft of Personal statement. I feel guilty reaching out to them repeartedly since theyll be very busy and i dont want to annoy them anymore. I am also not willing to pay consultancies hefty amounts just for reviews so I really need help with my drafted documents.
Could you guys suggest any evaluators, i am ready to pay if they are genuinely good and help me improvise it, or if any cornell/mem alumini come across this post and are ready to evaluate my SOP please so let me know, it'll be very helpful!!
