It's Been 4 Years, They Don't Care (Crowns)

If I could show you all the players who support crowns and play this game like their lives depend on it, I would, but that would be mean.

I'm sorry, but if you even think they're going to remove crowns when these Instagram Avakin pages have thousands of followers and supporters, you're sadly mistaken, and that's just Instagram alone. It's almost as if they're a cult: "Still gonna buy it," "I don't think they're a scam," "just delete the game," "Because I can and why not."

People actually like crowns. We are a small minority. I could tell you why crowns exist in the first place, and it wasn't about them "having no money to keep the game running," but that also would be mean. Stop with that excuse, please. I've seen simple games that are worse than Avakin Life generate more revenue than most games out there.

And part of me is starting to think it was inevitable for Avakin Life to turn out this way as a virtual 3D open-world chat mobile game; it's trying to reflect real life too much. The rich get richer and the poor get poorer. I can imagine Avakin players now saying, "Hahaha, you wear Avacoin clothes."

But, yeah, stop complaining about crowns. Please. I personally think it's very odd that a developer would do something like this. Not even some big companies themselves would do this, but hey, it's not my game, and I'm not trying to cause any controversy.

Also, I don't see anything wrong with every player having "exclusive items." Who are they going to brag to? It's a mobile game, for Christ's sake. Everyone had AirPods, Timberlands, and Balenciaga back then, and there was no discourse in the community.

I Don't Hate Crowns

What I hate is how objectively better the items are than coin items. I get that every game like this needs its "exclusivity" and things to stay afloat and keep it running, but dude.

I think I'd be better off if I didn't see VIP and CROWN items shoved in my face. Hold on, now that I think about it, don't even get me started on how bogus the crown wall offers ARE; all they do is prompt you to play another game which takes thousands of hours or spend YOUR money REGARDLESS.

And I hate to say this, but they definitely remove good coin items on purpose. Yep. Not to "make space for new items" MOST OF THE TIME. I don't mean to be mean or messy but I just don't see the point of this at all. Is it for rarity? If so, that's coo'.

Removed Animation Set From Inventory & Resold

Did anyone else have this animated set before they took it out of your inventory and resold it for crowns? This happened a long time ago when I first re-installed the game after a long time, back when crowns were first introduced. I didn't really care that much then, but I just thought I'd bring it up because... what?

"You don't own this item in your inventory" brain zap gone Well, if avakin says so 🤷‍♂️ kinda weird considering that I have crown items now but they've seem to stay. Oh well.

The Reason Servers Are Dead

There are already established communities, and saying "hello" is a huge accountability risk. Not to mention, some players actually get rude if you "interrupt" their conversations when, in reality, it's an open chat game, or some will even just stare at you like you said nothing at all.

  1. Fear of Judgment → There are too many people in the server to speak your mind.

  2. Oh, and get rid of the chatbox entirely, to be honest. That seems like the major problem. If you're over there, I don't want to hear or see your conversation over here. I know there's a way to get rid of it currently now, but yea

  3. There's no reward/dopamine for conversation. Yes, I know, this one is weird, but like... I don't know. Maybe I don't enjoy this game as much as I use to but please don't let that dictate what I'm trying to say here.

  4. The "spark" is gone. I just don't get that feeling anymore as much as I use too. Self admittedly, It's feel like I've established an ego on whether who gets to talk to me or not. I see it in other high level 40-80 players too, but every once in a while I say hi to people who say hi in-game.
