Fan fiction idea
Hey! So I’ve been a longtime fan of Gone with the wind. I read it about six years ago and it’s been my favorite ever since. I have had this idea for a while to write a fanfic. I already have a good chunk of it thought out and almost written out. It would center around Bonnie Butler. Basically a coming of age story. With new and classic characters. But the twist is that it would be set in 21st century Manhattan. Also, Rhett and scarlett would be reconciled. It would be explained how. A central theme would also be Rhett and Bonnie. I loved their relationship in the book and wish we got more of it. In addition, it would not go so off canon for I wrote Scarlett to be Irish and there would be a whole fictional Irish civil war to replace the Civil War. And also I wanted to explore more of Rhett’s backstory and how it affected him and his character traits. He was my favorite character and I’ve always been fascinated by him. But that’s more backstory. Anyways, my question is would anyone be interested in reading such a story? If you have any suggestions or ideas you are welcome to share. Thanks!
