CD Stuck in 2012 Jeep Wrangler, I need help getting it out
Hey I'm new here but in a bit of a pickle. Not sure where else to turn and figured yall would know what to do if anyone.
As the title says I have a CD stuck in the player in my car. I have tried a few ways to get it out like:
- the tape on the card trick (would it help to use something stronger than a plastic card??)
- wiggling another cd in there to try to trigger the mechanism
- Letting the system completely shut off before rebooting it to try to get it to either read the disc or eject it
My car has no emergency disc eject feature, and is not reading the disc either. When I press the eject button a quiet whirring noise can be heard for not even half a second as it says "ejecting disc...". Every once in a while the car will try to eject the disc as if I've pressed the button, so I think it knows something is stuck in there.
Last time this happened, I was moping around for a few days and trying the above methods to no luck, before turning on the car one day to find that it was reading the disc. I was able to eject it then to get it barely poking out and grabbable.
Anyway does anyone have any other tips?? I've tried the tape thing a million times and it's not working and I'm trying not to risk ruining my player but who knows.
