He decended into hell…

I am currently in the process of becoming a Catholic and have been learning more about the concept of the Eucharist basically transcending time to that one sacrifice on the cross, Jesus consecrating the host at the last supper and saying it is his body (transcending time) and the transfiguration where Jesus spoke with Moses and Elijah on the mountain, but it was in their own perspective times (transcending time)

Now from my understanding so far, the church teaches that those outside the faith are still saved and are only judged based on what they know.

My theory and question is this… is it possible that when Christ descended into hell to preach the gospel, that it actually takes place at the end of our perception of time, and that he preaches it to every one that did not hear it on earth through no fault of their own? In historical time it happened right after the death in the cross, but it goes throughout time to those who died without hearing the gospel?

Does this contradict any church teachings?

Where to find Historical Exegesis of certain passages

Hello everyone,

I have been listening to Fr Mike Bible in a year, and have previously read through the old and New Testament myself. Is there any websites or resources that give early church exegesis of passages in the Bible? I am wondering what the meaning of certain passages are and think that would be helpful to have as I continue reading through.

Thanks!
