This might not be the right thread but I moved away from home for dental hygiene school (left my fiancé, step son and dogs). Has anyone else here done this and have any advice? I’m struggling and miss my family so much. I just started school so I’m hoping it’ll get easier with missing them but I’m already struggling so hard.
I got accepted to hygiene school at a community college. My tuition is super cheap but I am having to move in order to go to school. I just got my FAFSA reward but it is only enough to cover tuition and not my cost of living since I’m having to rent an apartment. Will my school give me more loans to pay for my apartment? I put in a COA showing my rent fees. FAFSA said my maximum eligibility is much higher than the loan I was awarded.
