Somaliland can benefit from the war in Ethiopia!
As the war intensifies in Ethiopia, its most strategic lifeline is the port of Djibouti and the railway built that cuts directly through afar land.
Up until now Ethiopia has not utilised the port of Berbera for various reasons, and its yet to value its strategic asset. But as the war intensifies in Ethiopia somaliland should be building its leverage and pushing the narrative that this gate way through Djibouti is at a huge risk of attacks and potentially being seized by factions at war with the government, as this would cause a huge blow to the Abby regime.
This would in fact automatically reposition Berbera as the lifeline to Ethiopia, considering its buffer zone which is the Somali region, who are neutral in the ongoing conflict. Guaranteeing safety and security.
Personally think somaliland should be spending a lot of time and effort in creating this propaganda and trying to realign stakeholders into utilising Berbera, especially for humanitarian aid due to the ongoing conflict.
There’s no better time to take disrupt the monopoly Djibouti has over Ethiopia.
