Hey everyone, I'm stuck between two deals on the used market and need some perspective.

The Contenders:

  1. Sony WH-1000XM4
    • Price: Listed at ₹5.5k, but I can definitely bargain it down to ₹5,000.
    • Age: ~1.8 years old.
    • Condition: Dealer says battery is "excellent," but there is visible wear/peeling on the headrest.
    • The Catch: Since it’s worn, I’d likely spend ₹1,500 - ₹2,000 on decent replacement ear cups and a headrest cover/padding to get it back to "like-new" condition.
    • Total Investment: ~₹6.5k - ₹7k and some DIY effort.
  2. Soundcore Space One
    • Price: Bargained down to ₹3,900.
    • Age: Only 2 months old.
    • Condition: Mint/Brand New.
    • Pros: Looks good and zero extra spending required.

The Sony is a flagship, but at nearly 2 years old, I'm worried about the battery health and the hassle of refurbishing it. The Soundcore is a "set it and forget it" deal for much less money.

Is a refurbished Sony XM4 at ₹7k (total) still a better buy in 2026 than a basically new Space One at ₹3.9k? Or is the Sony price "too good to be true"?
