TUM MSc Management & Technology — how technical is it really?

Hi everyone,

I applied to the MSc Management & Technology at TUM for WS26 and would really appreciate honest insights.

I want to build strong technical/engineering skills, not just a “business + light tech” profile. My main question is whether the electives allow you to build a real “tech major + business minor” type of profile, with solid engineering knowledge — or if the program ends up being too broad, leading to a somewhat shallow understanding and potential frustration.

For those in the program:

  • How technical is it actually? Can you go deep enough in engineering with electives?
  • Are there many group projects and opportunities to work with companies or industry partners?
  • How strong are the networking opportunities overall?
  • In general, would you recommend it? What are your honest pros/cons?

Any additional insights are very welcome, thanks a lot 🙏 🙏
