When I was in my 20s, I got two large tattoos on my upper arms. Both healed completely normally with no keloids. I haven’t gotten any since.

A few years ago, I had a mole removed from my sternum, and that scar turned into a keloid. It’s the only keloid I’ve ever had. I’ve also had plenty of cuts over the years that healed normally.

I really want to get more tattoos, but having that one keloid makes me nervous. Would you consider my two previous tattoos healing normally a good sign, or would you avoid getting more tattoos altogether?
I’m also thinking about getting my ears pierced again, so curious about that too.

Anyone else in a similar situation? Did you continue getting tattoos after developing a keloid?
