griffith vs curtin undergrad med

hi!! i’m an international student from alberta, canada who just graduated high school in june. i applied to a few med schools in australia earlier this year, and i recently got off the waitlists for curtin and griffith (yay!). i’m having a really hard time deciding between the 2 universities. curtin is a shorter 5 year mbbs program with a smaller cohort, but its in perth which is very isolated. also, i’d go straight into medical training which i’m a big fan of. on the other hand, at griffith i’d do two years of a medsci degree, followed by a four year md, provided i keep up a certain gpa. i’ve heard the gold coast is an amazing city, and better for younger people as compared to perth. i also have a lot of family that live a few hours from the gold coast. ultimately the tuition would be around the same for both universities because griffith is an extra year, so that isn’t a deciding factor for me. this is a veryyyy hard decision for me, and i was hoping someone had some insight into my situation and how i should proceed. thank you!!

am i cooked?

hi, okay so i’m currently on the waitlist for KNES 203 and i’m so stressed about it. like i know that people drop before/during the first 2 weeks, but idk what to do here. i’m 27th in the waitlist. i’ve tried moving things around, or moving 203 to the winter semester, and i’ve even looked into doing it during spring/summer, but nothing is working out, and one class is always interfering with another. i’m genuinely going crazy. should i stay on the waitlist and pray for the best, or should i work smthing else out?

kinesiology advice

Hi! I’m starting a BSc in Kinesiology at UCalgary this fall as a pre-med pathway. I’m aiming for the highest GPA possible, so I’d really appreciate any tips you have! I also wanted to ask if there are any first-year courses I should take that act as prerequisites for upper-year classes later on. I’ve been told not to take Biology or Chemistry just for the MCAT since they can be GPA killers, and that I could study that content independently instead—does anyone have thoughts on this? Right now, my option classes are GRST 211 and PSYC 201 (currently waitlisted). I’d really appreciate any advice :)

Late Residence Application

So I was unsure about going to uni or taking a gap year, and I only decided on uofc like a week ago. That means that I missed the cut off for being guaranteed a dorm. What are the chances that I get assigned a dorm (I honestly don’t care if it’s in a great building, I js want a place to live lol)? If it doesn’t work out I might have someone I can stay with, but I really wanna live in res for my first year
