Ralphs had a sale plus a coupon on the app for Haagen Dazs, so I got 5 different flavors. This was amazing. Compared to Jeni’s (which is pure decadence) I appreciate the simplicity of this flavor. It has tiny soft cookie bits and chocolate flecks with a brown butter base, and the ratio of mix-ins to ice cream is perfect for me, so no flavor drowns out the other. With the sale, each one was more than half off so I basically had to get as many as the coupon allowed, to see which flavors are my favorite, so that I don’t spend more money doing that when they aren’t on sale. So I basically save money in the long run.

Gluttony has a name. And her name is Jeni. If I want to indulge, I sit down with a pint (which I easily finish) and watch a comfort show. I took one bite of this and paused my show and turned on the lights so I could look this perfection in the face, because anything less would show disrespect to this overindulgent masterpiece. After it was over I had to sit there in the dark and process what just happened. I don’t play about my ice cream, and I see neither does Jeni. I think this is the start of a lifelong relationship with me and jeni, and my toilet.
