Redesign open floorplan
I’m considering relocating the living room because the current setup is in a high-traffic area. There is a constant flow of people moving in and out through the main entrance, which is directly connected to the garage, making the space feel busy. I think the living room would function better in a quieter, more private part of the house with less foot traffic.
The home has an open-plan layout in a T shape, with a large central area that is currently mostly unused. Right now, this middle space is mostly left empty, aside from being used for a drying rack for clothes. I’m unsure how best to decorate this area so that it feels more cohesive rather than wasted space.
We have also considered moving the TV into the dining room area, however, that space is significantly smaller than the current living room. It would probably only fit a large L couch, which might make the area feel cramped. The dining room has a door that leads into a bedroom but it is generally unused as there is a second entrance from the hallway.
last photo is of the breaker box, thus immovable object.
