Suggestions re Level 4 Counselling

Good afternoon,

My apologies for asking! I have been researching but colleges’ websites are not clear and they are slow to answer. I am hoping you can help me identify the right providers. Or tell me I’m wrong.

Context: I (South West London) am applying for my L3 counselling. I have two limitations:

1/ I have restricted mobility so in class presence will be hard at best, impossible at times.

2/ I’m on UC and PIP so will need help funding.

I realise L4 courses can be restricted re in person attendance and what they consider “in person”. And their websites aren’t clear….

I‘d be very grateful for any guidance as to:

- where I can get a reputable ‘virtual’ L3 that is acceptable to the L4 providers

- reputable L4 that will accept a purely online or virtual L3

If useful: I’m degree educated, have 25+ years experience in a non related field (recruitment), have certificates in Safeguarding and Prevent, am due a to start Samaritan training and am attending workshops etc (not accredited) in listening skills, communication, recognising trauma, …

Any steer/ guidance/ recommendation would be gratefully appreciated!

Thank you.

Advice sought: level 3. What is my best choice?

Please can you help?

I‘m looking to find a suitable level 3 course but am confused by all the conflicting advice I have received.

For context, I’m based in London. I worked as a recruiter for over 20 years and most recently as a career coach. I have two university degrees (unrelated topics) and have hopefully passed my level 2. I‘m currently unemployed and recognised disabled. I’ve applied to be a Samaritan and hope to begin training in September. My goal is to pursue a career in counselling.

I‘d ideally find a course that is live but online. If in person is needed, it would need to be SW London for accessibility reasons.

What courses you recommend? Or would you recommend a different route?

And does volunteering as a Samaritan count to a course? It won’t change my mind if it doesn’t but would be useful to understand.

Thank you for your help.

Requested suggestions: padlockable food storage

Please can you help!

I need a food storage box that can fit 5kg and be locked. It can’t be too wide but tall will do (storage issue: it needs to fit in a kitchen cupboard but I can take a shelf off to create height). I’ve not found anything on Google or Amazon.

Reason is I have a room renter who will NOT understand he is NOT to feed my cats. He agrees then does so behind my back. I need to find the equivalent of a strong box with lock I can store the food in to stop him accessing it.

Venting now (my apologies but I am so angry!): they have a vet ordered schedule and food plan. And he’s a flipping medic!!! You’d think he’d get: stick to plan or you‘re hurting patient!! 🤬😱
And no…. Complicated story but I can’t just throw him out.

Any suggestions? I’d be genuinely grateful!

And I apologies for the rant. I am beyond angry!
