Hiring Academic Writer/Editor for 7,300 word manuscript - Due August 20th

I need an editor for a manuscript going to Frontiers in Marine Science. It's already been accepted in principle, this is the revision pass before final submission.

The paper is very interdisciplinary — marine science, science communications, environmental social science, and behavioral psychology. You don't need a marine science background, but you should be comfortable with academic prose and journal formatting conventions.

The work:

- Restructure the paper into the journal's required section format

- Line editing the introduction and methods sections for clarity and flow — approximately half the manuscript.

- The revisions and changes needed have already been marked on the document as comments, so the editor will be working from existing notes rather than assessing the manuscript from scratch.

Timeline: Files back to me by August 20.

Budget: $350–400 Zelle The manuscript is currently ~7,300 words but should be down to roughly 5,000 through the restructuring. Negotiable based on experience and level of communication.

Communication/Style: There are some occasional judgment calls that I'd rather discuss than have you guess. If you prefer no back-and-forth, this may not a good fit. Text or email both work for me.

To apply: Comment or DM with your rate, a sentence or two on relevant academic editing you've done, and a link or sample if you have one.

Fish bone, needs identifying

Found this on the beach in Highland Beach, Florida. Found 2 of them on the sand. What species could this be?
