Anyone else experiencing severe motion detection issues with outdoor Nest Cams recently?

I have two outdoor battery-powered cameras:

Nest Doorbell (Battery)

Nest Cam (Battery) with Floodlight

Both have worked reliably for a couple of years, but starting around June/July, detection performance dropped drastically:

\- Doorbell: Consistently fails to detect me leaving or coming home. At this point, it's completely unpredictable whether it records or not.

\- Cam: Missed several instances of people clearly moving in the yard this past week.

**Current Setup & Troubleshooting:**

\- Motion events occur directly inside active activity zones.

\- Event notifications are fully enabled.

\- Motion sensitivity is set to Medium.

\- Motion zones and event settings haven't changed since initial setup.

Is anyone else running into this recently? I'm trying to figure out if a recent firmware/Google Home app update broke detection logic or if there's an underlying hardware/OS issue. Any insights or workarounds would be appreciated!

Updates: Thank you all for your suggestions! Some clarifications. Not getting a noton my phone's isphone's is not the primary issue. The issue is the cameras are supposed to start recording with motion and they don't start recording. Today I stood in front of my door bell waving for 3 mins and it never turned on.

-- Battery is fully charged. Doorbell never gets below 50% charge.

-- phone and App have the most recent updates. Home App version 4.24.28.0. My. Pixle is android 17 w/ Aug 2026 security patch

-- All zones have Event triggers for people w/ notifications on.

-- wake up sensitivity has been on high the last month and no difference.
