Anybody mount rear speakers in the original back electrical coverings (pictured)? I don’t really like the look of the Mudstuff plastic ones and don’t want them in the door. My thought was use Dynamat, secure well, foam gasket to isolate speaker, and I’m also planning to carpet them to match the rest of the vehicle. My main concern was potential humidity, but it’s not like the rest of the vehicle is air sealed anyway. I bought a Lasalle headliner which is great, but the speaker spots don’t fit 5.25” which is what I have.
