“Ship within a ship” cruise for adults and teens

Four adults and two teens looking for a 7 or 8 night cruise out of Florida for March 2027.

Currently eyeing the Celebrity Apex out of Port Canaveral but open to other suggestions.

We think the more luxury cruise lines wouldn’t be a great fit for the teens, but open to hearing about your experiences.

We are trying on great food and service. Looking to avoid crowds as much as we reasonably can.

Ballpark budget $4k/person.

Laundry Room Orlando - Pickup/Drop Off Service Review

A couple people asked me to come back and write a review of the Laundry Room Orlando pickup and drop off laundry service that we used at Pop Century a couple weeks ago.

We were a group of 7 people doing 6 park days in a row and then boarding a Disney Cruise. Nobody wanted to give up park time or rest time to do laundry and the resort is charging $5 to wash a t-shirt and $3 to wash a pair of socks.

We packed one giant duffle and a medium size tote with 4 days worth of laundry for 5 adults and 2 kids. There were definitely a couple extra shirts and undies in there because you know how sweaty park days can be.

I attached luggage tags and tossed an AirTag into the duffle bag, then clipped them together before taking them to the bell desk. Bell Services had me fill out another tag with the Laundry Room Orlando’s information and my name as well. This was early Wednesday morning.

When the driver left to run their route for the day, I got a text, with updates about pick up all day.

On Thursday, I was also given text updates throughout the day. In the afternoon, they called me to apologize that the driver was running late and asked if I wanted a late delivery that day or delivery on Friday. We opted to keep it for Thursday, since we were at Hollywood Studios for Fantasmic and wouldn’t be back to the hotel after 10 pm anyway. When we arrived back, we found the laundry had been dropped off directly at our rooms. Awesome!

The total cost was $88 for 35 lbs of laundry, plus we added a 10% tip. In the end it came out to $12 a person to have 4 days of laundry done. It felt like a gift!!

I know it would be cheaper to do it myself, but I’m on vacation and for me, that’s a vacation from laundry too. What’s an extra $50 for 2 rounds of laundry when the trip was over $10k between WDW and the cruise?

Just sharing our experience for other folks that may always want to take advantage of these options.

Have a great trip!!
