If you work at the district office, what do you do 40 hours a week, 5 days a week? I’m not trying to disrespect anyone who works for the district office, just genuinely curious what you guys do in your office all day every day, year round?
Does anyone know of any beginning golf courses within 25 miles of St. Cloud? I’m really bad at golf but I’m wanting to get better. Over time, I’d love to play at the bigger, better courses, but just starting off, I’d like to play at easier/beginner, less crowded courses. I am horrible at golf. I have been playing for a few years and I really enjoy it. However, I am horrible at it. I have some great swings but more often than not, it’s bad.
Something I’m always concerned about is others. I hate holding people up (even though I let people play through) embarrassed I’m not good, and don’t want to inconvenience anyone. I try to play at beginner/easier courses, and not during “prime time”
Be honest, when you’re at the course and someone is clearly bad, what are you thinking/ feeling? It’s ok if it’s positive or negative. I want to keep playing, but want to know how people think/feel when someone is on a course that is clearly not good at the sport.

As the title states… why do some teachers quit right before the school year begins? PLEASE NOTE, I understand if it’s because of injury, illness, last minute move, etc. this is for people who KNEW they weren’t going to return this upcoming school year. Why would they wait all summer to then tell the school they won’t be returning? I’ve seen this happen in a few districts around me, so I’m sure it’s happened everywhere else too.
Edit: also, no idea why I’m getting downvoted for asking questions😂 I’m not trying to be an asshole or anything- so I apologize if it’s coming across that way. I’m only a few years into teaching and I’m genuinely just trying to clear up some misconceptions and trying to hear insight from everyone- not just my district and surrounding districts
With Mongos returning to town, I’m just curious- what restaurant(s) would you be happy to see come back to St. Cloud that has closed. It can be fast food, sit down, any cuisine, etc. just curious is all!

Price wise isn’t too big of a factor, but the culture is. I don’t want to get made fun of if I do something incorrectly or based on how I look. There is a new restaurant in Rice, MN (about 10 minutes away from St. Cloud). They are in the building that was the former Old Creamery Cafe. Just wanting to shout them out that they have amazing food, staff, and prices! Went there today and it was delicious! Just wanted to make people aware of the restaurant as it is new. Give them a try!
Does anyone actually have insight about Mongos returning to town? I’ve heard rumors online about it since HuHot closed down (which sucks for them and their employees, it’s never easy having a business close). Anyways, according to Indeed they are now hiring in St. Cloud, MN for host and grillers. I didn’t click on anything because I didn’t know if it was a scam or not

Please be honest about the pros and cons of working in a Montessori school? I have experience teaching in small groups and differentiating instruction- just want some honest feedback about the pros and cons of Montessori teaching in a k-1 classroom.
