I DO NOT USE THIS CARD FOR ANY PURCHASES.

Last year, MBNA was offering 0% interest for a year on balance transfers.

October 30, 2025:
- transferred my debt: $6766.00
- fee: $67.66

Then on

November 24, 2025
- i get charged for credit insurance premium: $83.05
- i get charged for credit insurance sales tax: $6.64
- and then i get charged interest: $87.57

I don’t regularly check the statements bc I do not use this card. I kept getting charged the November 24th charges until I notice it in January.

January 2026
- i call MBNA and give them shit bc I NEVER consented to insurance or premiums. I didn’t sign anything, it wasn’t in my contracts, so i get refunded everything.
- But for some reason, they reprocess my balance transfer AGAIN so now i’m paying another balance transfer fee.

So now in February 2026, everything is refunded. Now I’m starting off with a balance of $6803.31

So this is where I think I messed up because I believe I missed my March payment. That’s okay, I think to myself because I’ll just make a bigger April payment. So in April I transfer $250 on April 13th. On April 22nd, I get charged $97.35 in interest.

And then again, on May 21st I transfer $100 and get charged $96.23 in interest.

What am I doing wrong? Am I underpaying??? I’m paying more than the statement balance minimum each month!!! I do not understand why I keep getting charged interest!

Please someone help before I call them. I feel like a tool.
