Is this legal? Need to report on-site tapos independent contractor lang?
A Senior UI/UX Designer job listing from Whitehall Bradford Management Consulting Inc.
"Are you willing to be engaged as an Independent Contractor under the Philippine setup (i.e., not a company employee, responsible for your own taxes and government contributions)?"
So let me get this straight. You report on-site, work full-time hours, deliver senior-level output but you pay your own SSS, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG, and taxes. No HMO. No job security. No labor code protection. And they can let you go anytime kung hindi magustuhan yung performance?
This isn't a freelance arrangement. This is a full-time employee role with all the obligations of employment, except the employer conveniently opted out of their end of the deal, isn't it?
