Can we talk about how Christopher Nolan changed the ending of the original odyssey to literally be Vinland Saga?

Vinland:
“Far off to the west, far across the sea, there lies a special land, a land called Vinland.”

Christopher Nolan’s Odyssey:
“We will gather our fastest ships and our best crew and sail off into the unknown west and chase the sun”
