medical physics uae

Hii I’m a student in the UAE and I’m considering Medical Physics as a career. I’ve been researching the pathway here but I’m honestly a little confused about the licensing/clinical experience part.

From what I understand, after an MSc in Medical Physics, you need around 2 years of post-qualification hospital experience before getting licensed as a Medical Physicist.
I’d really like to hear from anyone who either studied Medical Physics in the UAE or is currently working here how did you get those 2 years of experience, where did you get it and what exactly counts as that experience? Is it paid?
Did you find it easy to get a qualifying position, or did you have to go abroad?

Also, does the clinical training during the MSc count towards those 2 years?

And is there real demand and good salaries in this region?

Just trying to figure all this out before I finalise thingss.

Any advice from people who’ve gone through it or can connect me to someone who’s done it would be really appreciated!

Electrical or biomedical?

I’m a student, uni starts in like a year and I’ve always really wanted to do BME, but living in the middle east and idk if i’ll move out later i heard that the job market is kinda uhm sparse. what im essentially interested in is doing research in the medical field and i hopefully wanna work in an mnc someday in the future as a researcher (big dreams for someone whos not even out of high school i know 😭)

But basicallyy while researching about bme now that I heard abt the job market i saw that if you have a bachelors in electrical engineering you can basically do what a person with a bachelors in biomedical engineering does. And to actually get into the research part of it you NEED to do a phd, so would a bachelors in electrical and phd in bme work? help me out please
