Please bear with me while I explain the full situation. I would really appreciate help from anyone experienced with UK visas or someone who went through the same situation.

Submitted biometrics at VFS Global in Iraq

Received email from VFS Global confirming that the application was forwarded to UKVI for consideration.

• 6 May 2026
Received acknowledgment email from UKVI confirming that the application and biometric information were received.

• 7 May 2026
Received processing update email from UKVI stating:
“We are still processing your visa application.”

• 21 May 2026
Received another email from UKVI stating:
“We are unable to make a decision on your application within published visa processing times.”

The last email mentioned possible reasons such as:
• additional review
• supporting documents verification
• additional consideration
• increased visa demand

No interview request yet.
No additional documents requested yet.
No verification contact yet.

I would really appreciate hearing from anyone who had a similar timeline or received the same emails.

Hello,

I applied for a UK Standard Visitor/Tourist Visa.

The full application fee was paid on 03/05, and I attended my biometric appointment (photo and fingerprints) on 04/05. Then, on 06/05, I received a notification confirming that my application had been received at the Abu Dhabi Application Centre in the UAE.

Since then, I have not received any updates. I have read many experiences saying that approvals are often issued within 7 to 10 calendar days, so I am becoming concerned as I am still waiting without any news.

Could you please let me know if there is any way to check whether my visa has been issued, is still under processing, or if a decision has already been made?

Is there any website, tracking system, or registration method that would allow me to follow the status of my application or at least reassure me that everything is proceeding normally?
