Which music distributor reports YouTube / Shorts / Content ID royalties the fast

Hi everyone,

I’m trying to compare real-world payout/reporting speed between music distributors, specifically for YouTube monetization.

I currently have a couple of tracks getting thousands of uses on YouTube Shorts, so YouTube Music / Content ID / Shorts revenue timing matters a lot for me. My current distributor can sometimes take close to 3 months before YouTube earnings appear, so I’m considering switching.

I’d really appreciate hearing real experiences from artists/producers using different distributors.

Especially interested in:

  • DistroKid
  • TuneCore
  • Symphonic
  • Too Lost
  • CD Baby
  • RouteNote
  • Believe
  • Stem
  • UnitedMasters
  • The Orchard
  • Venice
  • etc.

Mainly wondering:

  • Which distributor gets YouTube revenue the fastest?
  • Which one is the most consistent?
  • How long after the month of views/claims do earnings usually appear?
  • Are Shorts/UGC slower than regular Content ID for you?
  • Does YouTube usually arrive before Spotify?

Even rough examples help a lot, like:
“January Shorts revenue appeared around March 18.”

Not really looking for official support article answers — more interested in real experiences from people actively receiving YouTube royalties.

Thanks.

The content ID and social media package service is taking far too long. Because of this, someone else registered the content ID of my songs and is generating revenue from the shorts that use my music—we're talking thousands of dollars a month. Before, you'd pay for the service and it would be activated the same day; now it's taking weeks, and for my last album, it took over a month. Apparently, other people are experiencing the same problem.
