Gang gang hello!
Hope you had a good time watching "Sentimental Value" and reading "One, no one, and one hundred thousand" these past weeks!
This week we are watching "Moonlight" directed by Barry Jenkins.
Hudson recommended it here .
We will be reading "Play It As It Lays" by Joan Didion! As always the book club meet is every second Sunday, so for the book meet the post will be up on the 31st May.
This one you might recognize from Hudson's IG stories. Here is the mention of the writer Wonderland article.
You can find all the previous discussions and announcement posts in this Megathread or simply by searching "HudRecs" on the sub!
We moved the time of posting a bit to account for the timezones , since it seems our members from the North America aren't early birds as we originally though. So movie club discussions will be Sundays at 2 PM EST/8 PM CET while book club will be Sundays at 3PM EST/9PM CET.
Any suggestions and questions are welcome - as always write us in modmail!
Gang, gang hello!

Please share your thoughts with the rest of the club in the comments!
Keep an eye out tomorrow for the official announcement of the next book and movie, as always you can search it in the sub by "HudRecs" and all posts are kept here in this megathread !

One of Hudson's friends, filmmaker Zack Fonzovs, talks about their film "Hold your back", as well as how they met and started working together. He starts talking about Hudson around the 6 min mark. It's a lovely interview please take a listen!
Gang, gang hello!
We are in our fifth week of HudRecs Club! This week we are watching Sentimental Value directed by Joachim Trier.
Quick reminder that this Sunday we will also be discussing the book - [One, no one, and one hundred thousand], by Luigi Pirandello
For those of you who are just joining our little club, here is a quick rundown: every Monday we post a movie of the week recommended or mentioned by Hudson, and on Sunday of the same week we make a discussion post about it. Every other week we do the same for a book he read, (posted on a story on IG) mentioned in an interview etc. Here is a complete list of all the movies and books that will be watched and read in the following weeks/months - Huddy's Artistic World kindly compiled by the lovely shaneismo. It is also pinned in the sidebar under the same name here in the sub. We link the interview where the film was mentioned, when we announce it for the week.
We also made a megathread with all the HudRecs posts, so you can find them all easily. You can also search the sub with "HudRecs" and check out all of the previous posts and join the discussion.
See ya all on Sunday!
Found this on X (hudspiratinal) but original on is from “withhudson” on Weibo
I swear to God, his fans…. 😭♥️

"Hudson. Met 2026.
The “Matador” look worn by Hudson is both an archival reference from Cristóbal and a nod to the Spanish iconography that has always permeated his work; a garment originally born from the hyper-masculinity of the bullring, re-imagined by Cristóbal in the ‘40s for the feminine silhouette, and now brought full circle by Hudson.
It proves that art has no binary, and neither does fashion. True style isn’t about adhering to the history of a garment, but about the energy of the human being “in” the clothes.
There is an undeniable power that comes from being completely at ease in your own skin. When you stop dressing for a category and start dressing for yourself, the clothes lose their labels and simply become a reflection of your identity."
