Nothing to do with our favourite mates but....

I live in Wales, I've mentioned that here before. Tolkien loved Wales and the language, and SO many fantasy writers have taken influence from him that a LOT of Welsh words and names etc end up in fantasy books.

Sarah uses a lot of Welsh words and little nods to Welsh myths and legends too.

So when I've been mooching about, I've started taking pictures of places that could exist in the Maasverse 🤣.

Picture 1- Erddig Hall. This is Tam Tam's house in my head.

Pictures 2 and 3- Inside Erddig, there is a room decorated with the ancient coat of arms of notable families in the area. Do not tell me that this doesn't remind you of TOG.

Pictures 4 and 5- Conwy castle. This belongs somewhere in TOG.

We've already talked about it but still...

So I posted a couple of days ago re. Title etc. And a lot of people said they think Bloomsbury are delaying release because of spoilers, but... does anyone find that a little weird? Like if you were THAT worried about spoilers, you just... wouldn't call it that??? Surely?

My Spidey senses are up. And the last time my Spidey sense came up, I found my way here! Something is afoot.

If anyone knows...

...what I have done to offend Sarah, please let me know. I think I must have personally offended her for her to be torturing me SO MUCH BECAUSE WE STILL HAVE NOT HAD THE TITLE AND OMG WHAT DID I DOOOOOO.

Note: just incase noone understands- I'm obviously joking. I am not delusional 🤣🤣.

I don't like hate on ANY character but...

I just want to pre-empt this by saying I actually don't dislike Hunt, I just don't think he's the one for our girl.

I'm doing my CC reread (aren't we all 😉). And I've just got to the part where Hunt and Isaiah go to see Bryce at work to tell her Maximus Tertian has been killed. And I get it, Hunt doesn't like her. But his judgement of her is soooo... well, sexist. The fact that because there are aromatherapy oils being burned in the gallery means she only has half a brain??? And he already thought she was stupid because she likes to go out and party??? He also calls Danika "the party princess" like it's an insult despite the fact that Danika is a highly respected and feared were? Seems a bit reductive, don't we think?

I don't like the fact that Hunt is often seen as a "nice" guy. Even pushing aside his Umbra Mortis half. I'm a bit frustrated with male characters who are like "I thought this (usually negative, based on assumptions because you don't like X,Y,Z qualities in women) about you until I got to know you". That is not romantic. It's not even a particularly effective enemies to lovers or morally grey situation really. And don't get me started on the fact that he constantly tries to stop her from saving anyone. What a drip. If a character doesn't want to be in the fantasy action in the FANTASY ACTION book, I think your future as a character is not safe 🤣.

Also- having sex with him for the first time is the only way to stop him going berserk? No thanks.

Do we WANT our girl to be with someone who is like that?

Or do we want the guy who says "please..." because he understands a gal's potential to be a kickass slaya!

I know what I think 😊.

I've seen loads of theories (as I am sure loads of you have) that Mor is a witch. But a really convincing addition was that Eris saw she had Blue Blood and as her power is truth she has used it to prevent him from telling anyone what he saw. And honestly, this was sooooo convincing for me.

Do we think Mor was absent from the Bryceriel scenes because her power is truth and she would have seen through Bryce's lies?
