I've been watching this situation unfold for a while. When payment delays started becoming a pattern — especially after the NSFW crackdown last summer — I started building QuestCrate specifically because I was tired of watching indie devs get burned by platforms that couldn't guarantee basic payouts.

I'm a game dev too. Not a VC-backed startup. I went through the same platform problems a lot of you are describing right now. The trust vacuum itch.io created is real, and devs who are looking for a real home should have one that isn't dependent on payment processor politics.

Not here to pitch you. But if you're actively looking for platform alternatives, you should know what options are out there. Happy to share what I've learned.
