do u struggle with speaking in english?

i've been learning english for about 5–8 years, but during all that time i've mostly practiced reading/writing/ listening. i’ve always been afraid of speaking english, even though i know that my lack of speaking practice is one of the main reasons i dont retain what i learn T-T

i’ve tried talking to people online in voice a few times, but it always went badly. i got so nervous that i forgot almost everything i knew. i dont really have anyone to speak with in person cause english proficiency is quite low in my country. finding someone to practice speaking with online is kind of hard

it’s been a long time and i still haven’t been able to overcome this fear
has anyone else experienced something similar? how did you get over it? any advice? :/
