Anyone else have one of these? It's aluminum, but weighs at least a pound.

I boosted it from a 360/65 being replaced by a 470V/7. I also got to pull the emergency power off, but after it had already been powered down getting ready for disassembly.

Meters

Does anyone still use either of these? I had no idea I even had the Sixtomat until my wife and I were cleaning out a desk drawer. Holy krap! There it was, still functions perfectly after at least 50 years. I appeared along with an AI-S 2X doubler. Score one for me!

The Luna Pro also still functions, except the battery needed to be replaced. The really old thing uses a selenium cell, no battery required, ever.

Lost space.

I lost 10GB after the upgrade to 26.6. About the same as the download. Coincidence?

Will it come back?

Safari issues.

I have noticed nearly every time I use tumblr, Safari does something to cause tum to reload the page due to a problem, as indicated by the site. It doesn't say what causes it, but it happens with alarming regularity.

And now I just noticed it on Twitter (X), only there is no attempt at any explanation by the host.

Anyone else have similar conditions?

Time Machine disk won't unmount PROBLEM SOLVED.

The culprit is an external app (not Apple, but from App Store) called MenuBar Stats.

This is an extraordinary application, by the way. Highly recommended. 100% useful.

Last app update was three years ago, which makes me think it was something in MacOS 26 that triggered the issue.

But when you configure the disk activity module, set it to only 1 (one) volume. If more and the TM disk is shown, guess what?

It does not have read/write, only looks at System/Volumes/TimeMachine.

Apparently that's enough to tell the unmount process that something is still using it.

Thanks for all answers and suggestions. I learnt a lot this round.

Time Machine won't allow drive eject.

I have 2 y/o macbook pro M3 and have diligently backed up the device using TM to an external hard drive since day 1 of ownership. The internal SSD is 512GB, the external drive is 4TB partitioned 50:50 into a time machine and misc stuff. The external drive is plugged in when necessary, then ejected after the backup completes.

When you click eject on one of the two partitions and it asks if I want to do both since they are the same physical disk. I usually (99%) say yes, do both.

A few months ago I started to get a message that said something was holding on to the TM partition and would not eject. I think it started at MacOs26. There are no applications running according to cmd-opt-esc. Only the Finder. There is no disk activity according to MenuBar Stats. Selecting either drive first makes no difference. TM always says there is something using it. (How come is doesn't tell me what that is? Another question for a difference post, perhaps.)

At first it was about every 4th or 5th backup. And lately, since 26.5.1 it happens ALL THE TIME. The disk will never eject after multiple retries. It can be forced ejected, but how much damage is being done to the contents?

Following Macos help when clicked on ? it suggests logging off and on. No change. The final alternative is to shut down, unplug, restart. Seems to be the only thing that works. Seems a bit dramatic since I only reboot about every week, or so.

Thanks for any hints.
