Oh My Gosh! It Worked!!

Today is cage cleaning day. I also spray Iris with warm water while everything is out of her cage. She doesn’t like to take baths or showers. The weather has been extremely hot here and I thought she would enjoy being sprayed. Nope. She just sat there shaking her head. I stopped spraying her and wiped everything down. After getting her situated I started vacuuming. Oh man. She absolutely went crazy in her water bowl. I couldn’t believe it. So the vacuum trick does work! Thank you to everyone who said it. She’s going to take a good nap now! 👋

Anyone Else Feel Like They Are the Entertainment

My Grey has to be involved in everything I do. However, she’s not interested in playing. She just wants to be in charge!! My awesome supervisor!! 🥰

Hi, I just got a rescued Congo African Grey. She’s still young. I am curious if anyone else reads to their birds prior to going to bed. I have the very old Cat in the Hat books, and I hold the book up while reading. She sits and doesn’t say anything, and will press against her cage looking at the book as I am reading. My other parrots couldn’t care less if I read to them or not. My kids are grown and I miss this part of the day. It always helped us to wind down for the evening. I’m so glad to get to do it again!!
